We are getting so close to the final reveal!

Momentum is building on our major Full Home Renovation over in East Auckland. Because this home features four bathrooms in total, we specifically fast-tracked that first space. This strategic project management meant our clients had a fully functional, beautiful bathroom to use comfortably while we tackled the rest of the house!

Here is a look at what the team is working on right now:

Exterior Progress
The upstairs loft is almost complete! The new window has been seamlessly installed into the fresh weatherboards, and the roof sheeting is officially up in this area. The weatherboard replacement on the front of the home is also coming along beautifully. (Take a look at the photos below to see the incredible before-and-after weatherboard transformation!)

Interior Momentum
We are moving fast on the inside! The insulation is in, the GIB is up in several zones, and our team has started the meticulous process of filling gaps and sanding to prep for painting. Bathroom number two is also nearing completion, and we cannot wait to show you the stunning tapware and finishes the client has chosen.

The Retro Insight:

Leaving Room for Perfection
This is arguably the most thrilling stage of the build for our clients. While all the big decisions and budget planning are handled right at the beginning, we know that renovating a dream home is an evolving process. On large projects like this, we always allow space for our clients to make final detail decisions or request small changes, ensuring the end result is absolutely perfect.

Are your home’s weatherboards failing, or has your interior reached the end of its lifetime?

We can help you bring your property back to life.

From the Toolbox: Tip of the Quarter

By starting the Architectural Drawings, Council Process, and Onsite Meetings now, you avoid the “Spring Rush.”

This ensures that by the time the weather clears, your materials are locked in (avoiding lead-time headaches) and your build is ready to break ground.

Use the winter months to utilise our Turnkey Package planning. Utilise our Free Build Plan Checklist so you’re ahead of the game. Read all about it so you understand how it works.

Did You Know?

A safe site is a productive site!

“Our Health & Safety process isn’t just a box-tick; it’s how we protect your home and our team.”

At Retro Construction, we understand that having builders at your house can feel disruptive. That is why maintaining a tidy, securely fenced, and highly organised job site is an absolute priority for us.

When we educate our clients about transparent “Preliminaries & General (P&G)” costs, this is exactly what those funds go towards. Proper site establishment, which includes temporary fencing, safety signage, and rigorous Health & Safety management, ensures your project strictly complies with the HSWA 2015 and runs efficiently without unexpected delays. Just last week we had our advisors onsite not to determine if we met the mark, but what we could do to make it even better!

We treat your property with the utmost respect.
It is why our clients consistently highlight our punctuality, attention to detail, and our commitment to a thorough clean-up after the job is well done.
