Over the last few decades, open plan living has definitely proven to be the way to go!
We recently transformed the kitchen of an older property into a stunning open-plan haven (part of a larger renovation project we completed). Similarly, we created a more spacious lounge area for another client — the result was a space that looked and felt so much bigger and more usable.
Kitchens & Bathrooms are the Heart of Every Home! Interestingly, many of our renovation projects this year have really focused on kitchens and bathrooms.
Some of the hottest bathroom trends for 2025 and we’ve incorporated some in the video, include:

Kitchens have been no different. While not all of these ideas are featured in this video, we’re seeing more and more clients wanting functional, easy usable and some personalised elements in their kitchens.
Recent trends and clever ideas include:
– Space-saving layouts designed for functionality;
– Pull-down screens acting as cupboard doors for multiple cupboards;
– Screens to close off kitchen utility areas for a sleek, clean look;
– Slide-away benchtops, used only when prepping food;
– Built-in step ladders, hidden in bottom drawers to reach higher cupboards.

Some colours are also making a comeback!
While the classic all-white kitchen is still loved by many, more people are embracing bold colours, definitely textures, and statement features — adding vibrancy and personality to their spaces.
