Interior & Laundry Refresh, with extra Attic Space created

This was a full home renovation, but today we are focusing only on certain features!

What started as a tight, dated space is now a clean, open, and functional area that fits beautifully with the rest of the home.

🛠️Our team at Retro Construction opened-up walls, raised the laundry entry, strengthened the structure with new beams and framing, and finished everything with fresh plaster, paint, trims, and lighting. We reused the original skirtings and architraves to keep the home’s charm while adding modern touches like moisture-resistant wall linings, insulation, and a brand new laundry setup—complete with LED lighting and an extractor fan.

It’s now lighter, brighter, and built to last – done the Retro way. 🛠️

Special & clever features we’d like to focus on are:

  • The linen cupboard was built out to become the small laundry it now is, brilliant if you had no laundry before, also now nicely tucked away behind a door!
  • The stained-glass window enhanced and beautifully kept to suit the home.
  • The cupboard, being an actual built-in cupboard, saves space in a rather small room and a stunning feature for sure!
  • Not everyone thinks about using their attics and the access ladder allowed a massive storage space in this home and finally
  • The jacket hooks re-installed by the front entrance just gives you that vibe that you are home, while enhancing the villas original look and feel!

Many features all into one renovation! Need a builder with 30+ years of experience that can think outside the box, well – here we are – just waiting for your call!
