Summary

Kiwis might be hesitant to leave behind their traditional quarter-acre homes, but the Kahu Development in Auckland’s Long Bay Village, built by McCore Group for Templeton Group, is offering a fresh perspective on apartment living. This project features 42 north-facing terrace homes, providing a contemporary, architect-designed environment surrounded by cafes, restaurants, and shops. Set across two buildings with a central mews access-way, each unit boasts its own entrance and dedicated parking, with larger dwellings featuring tandem garages.

The homes, ranging from one to four bedrooms, offer a balance of space, privacy, and comfort at reasonable prices. The development is ideally situated for families, with safe walking routes to top-rated schools and easy access to public transport, including a quick bus trip to Massey University’s Auckland campus and services into the Auckland CBD.

Kahu Development represents a middle ground between traditional homes and multi-unit apartments, catering to modern needs while maintaining a sense of community. McCore Group, founded by Michael Wang, Mike Gibson, and Matt Borg, has grown rapidly since its inception in 2017, completing numerous projects and establishing a strong reputation in the industry. The first half of the Kahu project is set to be completed early next year, with the second half following soon after, signaling a promising new chapter in Auckland’s housing market.
